We are proud to support the Ocean Cleanup as our chosen charity. They are committed to removing plastic pollution in the oceans and have developed technologies to extract plastic waste from the waters and intercept them in rivers before they reach the oceans. After testing prototypes in the North Sea they are currently deploying this full-scale.

Their ocean system consists of a floating barrier at the surface of the water in the oceanic gyres, that collects marine debris as the system is pushed by wind, waves and current, and slowed down by a sea anchor. Currently they are aiming to remove up to 50% of the debris in the Great Pacific Garbage Patch within the next 5 years.
